Only registered institution users can login and make online affiliation requests to KTU. A registration fee of INR 5000/- is to be paid after providing the basic details. You can click the Sign up button to register as a new Institution User. In the registration form that appears, provide the basic details of the college, preferred username and password. Then click the Submit button to go to the Online Payment page. After successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address. Then institution user can enter the chosen username and password and click the Login button to logon to the application.
After logging on to the e-Gov portal, you can view the Payment Details in the Dashboard. Total Fee, balance due etc will be listed here for the different fee types.
The following steps are to be followed after registration to complete the affiliation process.
Step 1: Provide infrastructure and other details of your Institution
Colleges seeking affiliation to KTU shall satisfy the minimum affiliation requirements mandated by the university. In addition to the information entered, all the documentation proof should be attached by the institution to show that they are fulfilling the mandatory requirements. Registered users can click on the Click here to provide the institution details button to provide the institution profile details.
Step 2: Provide the details of programs for which affiliation is sought
Colleges are invited to apply for the affiliation of technical program(s) in KTU. Requests can be made for addition of new programs, extension of existing programs or variation in the current seat intake. For each program, enter the requested intake, NRI/PIO quota, AICTE approval and NBA accreditation status. Registered users can login to provide the program details.
Step 3: Submit the affiliation Request
Once you provide the institution details and details of the programs requested, you can view and confirm the details before finally submitting the request to KTU. Affiliation requests shall be considered by KTU only on the remittance of the prescribed affiliation fee by the college. You need to submit the request on or before the last date of receipt of applications.
Any college applying for affiliation to KTU shall submit online affiliation requests to the University within the time limit through the University e-Gov Platform for KTU.
The norms and standards are as given in the AICTE Regulations Notification dated on 27th September 2012, published in the Gazette of India - Extraordinary Part 3, Section (iv), the various provisions mentioned in the Approval Process Hand Book 2015-16 and any guidelines issued by KTU from time to time.
All institutions need to pay a registration fee at the time of registering the new institution. At the time of submission of the application for affiliation, the processing fee needs to be paid by all non Government institutions. Apart from the registration and affiliation processing fees, no other fee payment is needed till the affiliation application is approved by KTU.

For a semester, the curriculum for all the branches/streams of the B.Tech and M.Tech programs is defined in the e-Gov platform application. For each branch/stream, the institution needs to cross check and select the courses with the curriculum defined by the university/cluster.
If there are multiple courses mapped to a slot in the curriculum, only a specified number of them need to be taken in this semester. In such cases, the institution needs to choose the courses for that branch/stream. Once the institution completes the course selection process and submits to KTU, no further changes can be made to the courses selected.

Colleges need to verify the courses and complete the enrolment of students for courses in their curriculum. The elective courses and any other courses requiring student choice are to be finalized as part of this exercise. Only specific details in the student information can be corrected after the student registration request is submitted to the university. This feature will be enabled in the e-Gov portal only if your institution gets special permission from the university. The Course Mapping is defined to provide the information about the conducting of each course. The details include the faculty member who is handling the class and the batch/division in a particular branch for which the class us conducted. Corresponding to every branch/stream, there is a Course Mapping for Odd Semester and one for the Even Semester. Before doing the Course Mapping, you need to make sure that the batch or division names and students in each batch are correct for every branch/stream.

Institutions need to create and submit the monthly report for Academic Audit before the 7th of every month to KTU. Please refer to the Monthly Report User Manual for detailed steps on using this feature.
After logging on to the e-Gov application, the Principal can choose the Academic Auditing tab and click on the Audit Reports menu item on the left. Here all the audit reports for your institution will be listed. You can click on a report to view the details. You can also provide a response to the auditor's comments/ratings in the Principal's response column.
